Flower Tier List
Every flower in Grow a Beehive ranked by honey farming value. Each seed attracts a specific bee, so flower tier equals bee potential.
Flowers are the foundation of every successful Grow a Beehive garden. You cannot purchase bees from a shop menu. Instead, each planted seed spawns a flower that attracts exactly one bee species with fixed Speed and Carry stats. That means your flower choice is really a bee choice, and picking the wrong seed wastes plot space, shop restock opportunities, and hours of growth time. This tier list ranks every flower from S-tier meta staples down to D-tier tutorial plants so you know precisely which seeds to chase during each five-minute shop rotation.
Rankings account for more than sticker price. We evaluate the paired bee's Speed and Carry, how quickly the flower matures, whether the seed appears in regular shop stock or requires codes and events, and how the flower fits into a sensible mid-game upgrade path. A Rare Tulip costs $200 but delivers an A-tier Tulip Bee that carries players through much of the mid-game. Meanwhile, Common Daisies belong in D-tier because their bees cannot scale once your garden spans multiple rows. Cross-check raw numbers anytime on the complete flowers database or compare attracted bees on the bee tier list.
Placement amplifies tier value. Even an S-tier Cactus underperforms when planted at the far edge of your plot. Bees travel in straight lines between hive and flower, so distance directly reduces trips per minute. After buying higher-tier seeds, always replant them in the slots closest to your beehive. Our flower placement guide explains optimal layouts, and the honey calculator quantifies how much travel time costs you.

Tier Explanations
S-Tier — Meta Defining
S-tier flowers attract the strongest bees available through standard progression, codes, or limited events. Fire Blossom, Cactus, Butterfly Pink Rose, and Weightless Flower belong here. Plant these closest to your hive and never replace them unless a direct upgrade appears in a future update. The Cactus remains the shop crown jewel, pulling in the 18 m/s Cactus Bee. Weightless Flower is event-exclusive but equally dominant with the Star Bee during the Interstellar Event.
A-Tier — Strong Mid to Late Game
A-tier flowers like Tulip, Bluebell, and Morning Glory offer excellent Speed and Carry ratios for their cost. Most players transition from C-tier income into A-tier flowers around the first hour of play. Tulip seeds appear in shop rotations frequently enough to farm reliably. Keep A-tier plots near the hive until you afford S-tier replacements. See paired bee details on the bees database.
B-Tier — Transitional
B-tier flowers serve as stepping stones. They outperform D-tier starters but fall behind once Rare shop stock becomes affordable. If you receive B-tier seeds from promo codes, plant them temporarily and uproot when A-tier seeds arrive. Do not invest Robux or event currency into B-tier seeds when better options exist.
C-Tier — Early Game Workhorses
Sunflower and Rose occupy C-tier because their bees help new players learn the honey loop without requiring premium currency. They are fine for the first fifteen minutes, but replace them quickly once Tulip or Bluebell appear in the shop. Track restocks with our shop restock timer so you never miss the upgrade window.
D-Tier — Replace Immediately
D-tier flowers like Daisy exist purely for the tutorial phase. The Daisy Bee's 12 m/s speed and 5 carry cannot support a growing garden. Uproot D-tier flowers as soon as you earn $25 for a Sunflower or receive better seeds from codes. Every plot occupied by a D-tier flower is a plot not farming serious honey.
Progression Tips
Start with whatever the tutorial provides, then pivot to Uncommon flowers within the first ten minutes. Save cash for Rare Tulip and Bluebell seeds rather than spamming cheap plots. Once income stabilizes, camp shop restocks for Epic and Legendary stock. Fire Blossom often arrives through limited codes, while Cactus requires patience and cash reserves near $2,500. During events, prioritize exclusive seeds like Weightless Flower before the event rewards rotate out.
Elixirs accelerate growth but do not change tier value. A Growth Potion on a Daisy still produces a D-tier bee. Spend any of the 4 available elixirs on A-tier and S-tier seeds instead. Read the elixirs and seeds guide for optimal usage timing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best flower in Grow a Beehive?
The Cactus is the best regularly available shop flower, attracting the top meta Cactus Bee. Weightless Flower matches S-tier during events. Full rankings are in the table above and flowers database.
When should I replace Sunflowers and Roses?
Replace C-tier flowers as soon as you can afford Tulip or Bluebell seeds, typically within the first hour. Check the shop restock timer for Rare stock.
Is Fire Blossom worth planting?
Yes. Fire Blossom is S-tier and attracts a bee with 17 m/s speed and 600 carry. It often comes from promo codes rather than the shop.
How does flower rarity relate to tier?
Rarity hints at shop difficulty but does not equal tier rank. Some Rare flowers outscore Epic options because bee stats matter more than the label. Compare paired bees on the bee tier list.
Should I keep low-tier flowers for decoration?
Only if every productive slot is already S-tier or A-tier. Honey income always beats aesthetics during progression. See honey farming tips for income priorities.
Where can I see grow times and costs without tiers?
The flowers database lists every stat in a neutral reference format without tier commentary.
